Fault diagnosis and self-healing for smart manufacturing: a review

Abstract Manufacturing systems are becoming more sophisticated and expensive, particularly with the development of intelligent industry. The complexity architecture concept Smart (SM) makes it vulnerable to several faults failures that impact entire behavior manufacturing system. It is crucial find detect any potential anomalies as soon possible because low tolerance for performance deterioration, productivity decline, safety issues. To overcome these issues, a variety approaches exist in literature. However, multitude techniques make difficult choose appropriate method relation given context. This paper proposes new conceptual model fault diagnosis self-healing smart systems. Based on this architecture, review different approaches, sub-approaches methods used develop Fault Detection Diagnosis (FDD) Self-Healing-Fault-Tolerant (SH-FT) strategy dedicated defined. Moreover, reviews analyzes than 256 scientific articles their applications SM last decade. Finally, promising research directions field resilient highlighted.
